I graduated from the University of Alberta in 2018 with a Bachelor of Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Education, and I’ve had the privilege of working with both amateur and professional athletes in Canada and Australia.

My background in football—playing for the University of Alberta Golden Bears and the Edmonton Huskies—has shaped the way I approach training. I emphasize plyometrics, mobility, acceleration, and full-body strength training to help athletes develop their athleticism and game speed. Through my training business, Wilkz Performance, I’ve created a competitive, group-based environment where the focus is on movement and athletic performance rather than traditional bodybuilding.

Currently, I’m also the head coach of the Bellerose Composite High School football team, where I love mentoring young athletes and helping them reach their full potential on and off the field.

About Dan

I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Distinction from the University of Alberta in 2017, and completed my Masters of Physical Therapy in 2021.

I grew up in St. Albert and participated in a variety of sports throughout my youth, including hockey, track and field, and lacrosse, with hockey being my primary sport. During my school years, I played AAA hockey, and while in university, spent multiple seasons with the St. Albert Merchants. I have also worked as a bench-side trainer for various local hockey teams and have been involved in sports performance training environments.

I hold certifications in Dry Needling, Spinal Manipulation, Vestibular Rehabilitation, and the Assessment and Treatment of Running-Related Injuries. I believe in providing care that goes beyond injury treatment, with a strong emphasis on performance optimization and long-term injury prevention.

My passion for physiotherapy began through my own participation in sport, and I am driven by helping remove barriers that prevent people from taking part in the activities they love. Outside of the clinic, I currently play men’s league hockey and enjoy trail running, mountain biking, skiing, and hiking.

About Lisa

I graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Masters of Science in Physical Therapy. Throughout my schooling, I worked at Sherwood Park Sports Physiotherapy as a physiotherapy assistant, which enabled me to gain work experience, apply knowledge, as well as reinforce my desire to become a Physiotherapist.

I understand that the health industry is ever changing, and as such, I continue to supplement my university education with additional courses. I am certified through Complete Concussion Management to treat and manage concussions and recently completed my Dry Needling certification. In my undergrad, I worked as a Certified Personal Trainer through CSEP, which gave me the opportunity to work with the Edmonton Oilers and Edmonton Eskimos doing fitness testing. I’ve also spent many hours working and volunteering for other organizations such as the Running Room, the Steadward Centre, and Special Olympics Alberta.

I grew up doing competitive gymnastics, and while at university played for various recreational sports teams. In my spare time, I enjoy being active both indoors and outdoors and am always looking for the next adventure. I carry my passion for health, activity, and sport into my work – I believe with the right combination of education, rehab and determination, everybody can achieve a healthy lifestyle and return to doing the activities they love most.

About Megan

Raised in St. Albert, I developed a passion for sports from a young age. My involvement in the sport of figure skating for over 20 years as both a competitive skater and coach introduced me to the world of nutrition and enhancing performance through nutrition.

I graduated with distinction from the University of Alberta in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science, specializing in Dietetics. During my studies, I had the opportunity to work with the University of Alberta Golden Bears and Pandas Nutrition program where I helped athletes with nutrition-related questions and develop nutrition resources for athletes.

After graduation, I worked as a clinical pediatric dietitian at the Stollery Children’s Hospital which helped to build my clinical expertise working with children and youth as well as their families. My passion for sport nutrition led me to pursue a Master of Science in Applied Sport and Exercise Nutrition at Oxford Brookes University in the United Kingdom where I graduated with distinction in 2025. Now, having moved back to Canada, I have transitioned to my current role as clinical and sport dietitian and part time figure skating coach.

My goal is to collaborate with clients to navigate the complex world of nutrition and food and empower them to take charge of their health and performance through nutrition using evidence-based approaches. Outside of work, I love to continue to train and compete as an adult figure skater, traveling to new places and baking up some new sweet creations!
